The Presidents Award for BC
The Presidents Award for Outstanding Army Cadet in Pacific Region was created in the fall of 2005. The award was created and is to be presented to the cadet nominated in BC for the General Walsh Award. The General Walsh award is presented to the most outstanding army cadet in Canada. It was felt that the army cadet nominated in BC should receive recognition from the Provincial League as well.

Col Lake, Past President of the Army Cadet League (BC Branch) created the award. The recipient receives a plaque and will also have his/her name engraved on a larger plaque that will soon hang on the wall of the League office in Vancouver.
The Recipients


The winner of the 2007 President Award for the Top Army Cadet in BC went to C/CWO Christopher Congram of the BCR cadet corps in Port Moody. The President of the Army Cadet League of Canada, BC Branch, MGen (ret'd) Brian Vernon presents Chris with his award. Well done!
The 2006 award went to C/CWO Casimer Thomson of 1726 RCACC Comox BC. Congratulations.
The 2005 recipient is C/CWO Dane Nicholson of 2573 RCACC North Vancouver. The award was presented to Mr. Nicholson by Captain Ted Usher, LO for RCSU(Pac) & ACLBC on behalf of Col Lake and the President of the ACLBC. The plaque was presented 16 Nov 2005 on C/CWO Nicholson's final parade with 2573 RCACC. Well done!
