Maj Charles Whisker

Major Charles Whisker Award

This award is in memory of Major Charles Whisker who was a stalwart supporter of cadets and resided on Vancouver Island. This award was created in his memory and is awarded annually to a person recognized as a significant contributor to the Canadian Cadet Movement in British Columbia. The award is only given to civilians and those military members supporting a cadet corps. Members of the CIC are not eligible.

2007 Recipient

The 2007 recipient of the Charles Whisker award is Master Corporal Stan Clark of the PPCLI based at 39 Brigade HQ in Vancouver. MCpl has been a stalwart supporter of the cadet program in Vancouver. (photos soon.)

2006 Recipient

The winner of the 2007 Major Charles Whisker Award is Sergeant Dave Bachmier of 9 Wing Comox. Sergeant Bachmier is the former Cadet Liaison Officer for 1726 RCACC Comox. Standing with him is the President of the 1726 Sponsoring Committee Ms Sherri Luj (L) and the CO of 1726, Captain Renee Roy. Well done and thanks Sgt. Bachmier!
